Or you know, talking to them- another thing that does not involve what’s in your pants.

It’s weird that despite all the cyberware you can get in the game, nothing will let you change from Penis 1 to Penis 2.  You’d think, diagetically, that would be a surgery people would be interested in!

I still have no idea how “let’s have fully rendered genitals” was a thing that made it through even one pass of “feature wish-list triage.”

I feel like if I ever ended up in a “pay it forward” line like this, I would just say “oh, never mind then” and then leave and go somewhere else.

I’d watch Dune on a 4" screen gladly.  I used to watch it on a book!

I personally believe everything is a sandwich, since we can arbitrarily define layers.

I honestly find “starting short games” to be harder for me than “finishing long games”.  It takes so long for me to like “become fluent” in a game, that once I do it I can just stick with it as long as there’s something that feels worth doing available.  What I need is advice for those games where I feel like I’ll be

I once smuggled in the rest of a bowl of pho (in the takeout container) because I wasn’t going to be able to finish it before the movie started. I had just put it in my bag, and carried it in.  Midway through I realized that “letting soup sit at room temperature for ~2 hours” is probably a recipe for food poisoning if

Sports may come and go, but Synchronized Swimming has been part of the summer games since 1984 and is kind of a weirder form of artistic and athletic movement to celebrate in the Olympics than Breaking is.  Like if aliens came down from space and chose sports for the Olympics “individuals move their bodies in

I mean, if I’m going to watch, say, Dune, King Kong vs. Godzilla, or the Matrix 4 in 2021 (and I’d like to), it’s sure not going to be in a movie theater.  This seems like a fight between distributors and creatives more than “anything that affects me very much.”

The big difference is that video games, even good ones are going to come down in price by like 2/3 eventually, but who knows if you’ll ever have the opportunity to get the MS Paint sweater ever again?

FWIW, there’s a huge f***ing difference between “this game might cause seizures” and “a significant (and unskippable) part of this game involves a sequence of flashing lights based on a medical technique that is intended to cause seizures for diagnostic purposes.” Ascribing intent is always tricky but this passes well

Crunch doesn’t work (in any industry) because people who are stressed, unhappy, etc. make more mistakes than people who are generally just gruntled.  It generally takes more time to fix the mistakes from people who are crunching than the extra time crunching creates.

Certainly not any time soon. To me “a game from the Witcher people, but with guns and cars!” is less appealing than “a game from the Witcher people, but without guns”. I like the Sapkowski books the Witcher was based on a lot more than the R. Talsorian games TTRPG that Cyberpunk is based on. I’m also pretty

It’s really kind of amusing how many games have “the DLC was the best part” considering the amount of people who decried the very concept of DLC.  The cries of “they should have just made it part of the game” coming from probably the same people who get apoplectic when a game is delayed.

Anybody paying for this is a sucker.  If Mayweather is boxing anybody the most probable outcome is “Mayweather boxes defensively and wins on points.”  People who want to see Logan Paul get his ass beat are going to have to find a different fight.

You can’t put something in your work of fiction without saying something about it. “This exists” is a thing and “the context in which the thing is presented” is another thing that you end up saying after that. If you’re going to have a “Haitian Gang” or “a trans woman in a prominent diagetic advertising campaign” it’s

My conclusions are more of the form:
- It’s ultimately just a video game
-Crunch doesn’t work

People sort of forget how much better the Witcher 3 was like six months and a whole lot of patches after release compared to “at release”. I figure it’s much the same with Cyberpunk, but the hype train got out of control on this one.

I’m just annoyed that the default is “ham and pineapple” rather than the superior “ham, pineapple, and hot peppers”.  Spice massively improves the hawaiian pizza, and like “jalapeños blanketed in melted cheese” are a better option than “post-oven crushed red pepper flakes.”
