Hopefully they still keep infusing meaningful. I am actually enjoying having to think about what I infuse. I know I might be in the minority, but I suspect the science behind it is actually making people enjoy the game more. We like to have meaningful things to work towards-- too easy and the game just becomes a chore.

The expansion has been out for only a few weeks. I am glad that they are making us work to become powerful. It gives me something to work towards. You have to earn being “cool”.

Destiny 2 is one of the most ambitious video games of all time... hardly “lazy”.

I think it’s awesome that there is something very difficult to obtain. If everything was easy, nothing would feel special. PVP is a part of the game, and the game expects you to partake in every facet of it. That’s part of the deal.

I wish it were more like the NFL-- same time, same place every weekend. With fewer games. I could never remember when my team was playing. A big reason why many don’t follow marathon seasons like the MLB.

You do not get to unlock everything in an MMO-esque game, unless you put the time in. That is what makes it fun. You get out what you put in and its obvious people want to put in a lot. I also only play about 3-4 hours a week. I won’t unlock the biggest and baddest weapons. And that’s okay.

At the end of the day, it is not up to the consumer to decide which video games are preserved”. That is up to the creator, or more specifically, the rights holder.

Even if it’s your favorite video game and there is only one copy left in existence-- its not your call.

GaaS does not apply here. Those games are built

At the end of the day, it is up to the creators whether they want their art preserved or not. It is not up to video game fans to preserve others work. Copying another persons work and distributing it without their consent is copyright infringment.

This is also a topical discussion seeing as many Kotaku readers were

Service > Product. Especially now with data flying from our fingers. This is not going to stop any time soon.

Looks like Overwatch + Rainbow 6. I mean... go for it.

Imma just say that if it weren’t for the sandbox update, I would’ve been hella disappointed. It sucks to be like “Wow this game looks and feels amazing... meh boooo *thumbs down*”

I’ve realized that there is just too much luck in the matchmaking game. It’s a real thing to get two or 3 games in-a-row of people just ruining the match. It is not uncommon. And that sucks. The season just started and I’m already 250 below my starting rank, and I am now in Plat for the first time ever. Oh well. I

Battlefield 4? It’s a perfect example of games being supported even after sequels have been released. This is made possible by DLC and micros. Gamers can’t have their cake and eat it too.

I agree. One of the pillars of the success of the NFL is that its the same time, same place everyweek. Your team plays every Sunday. And to extend revenue, the NFL places a single primetime game on Thur/Mon. The OWL should follow a similar schedule. Fewer games on a more consistent schedule.

While I’m still here, I’ll

They need fewer matches. If they played once a week, people would make an effort to tune in. It’s one of the huge reasons for the success of the NFL— same time, same place every week.

Really, its more about how you implement yourself into the community. Cause I feel the same way— I’m too old to care about the Destiny and EA drama. So I don’t. And you don’t have to either. I know Kotaku loves the gaming-world buzz and drama, but it really doesn’t have to ever be that intense. Just accept the games
