Oh weird! TBH I usually just go with the regular Baby Drys - I think with a girl you can get away with a less absorbent diaper since the pee stream is more...diffuse.

Totally! Pampers actually does have extended-wear diapers too though! They’re called Baby Dry Extra Protection...I’ve noticed they don’t tend to be carried at drugstores, just the regular Baby Dry, but Target has them. Although if the Huggies work why fix what isn’t broken?

I read an interview with Kate Hudson (I think?) not that long ago in which she said that the tone of Bride Wars started out totally different and that they were pressured by the studio to turn it into a stereotypical chick flick. I remember thinking when I first saw it that it seemed like the script might have started

I don’t actually have a horse in this race, as I have personally never witnessed any ill effects from Honest products, but I do think they’re pretty meh. For baby-havers looking for less controversial organic/natural baby products, may I recommend:

I think it depends on the build of the baby. My daughter was long and skinny and they fit her really well, although after the first couple boxes we stuck with Pampers due to cost. I’ve heard that for round-bellied, chunky-thighed babies (and I mean that as a compliment of the highest order), Huggies are best and

Thank you. I loved the first few seasons where every episode they were fighting a different supernatural foe, but as much as I love Castiel, I couldn’t deal with any more angels vs. demons (or worse, yet another story arc in which one brother is a) possessed or b) too damaged to possibly go on) and dropped out at the

Agreed. A nanny share is also a great option - we only needed 30 hours of care a week because my husband and I work overlapping shifts, and although we don’t pay a ton less than what full-time day care would cost, it is still worth it for the day-to-day flexibility. That said, it comes with its own set of challenges -

Yes! I used Phytocyane after giving birth and although I did lose the hair that never shed during pregnancy, I still have my normal non-pregnant amount. Only downside is it’s $$$.

It’s one of the more expensive ones, but the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo has been a total game-changer for me. It actually massages/brushes out after absorbing the oil at your roots. I’d be interested to see if overuse would cause this same reaction, but I’d imagine not, because it leaves virtually no

Has anyone actually tried any of her recipes? I have to admit, I’ve kind of been operating under the assumption that although she may be a decent home cook, this is mostly just an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of her husband (and child). But I made similarly cynical assumptions about Chrissy Teigen until I’d

It’s not! I’ve tried Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, Sun Basket, and Fresh Realm, and I’ve had to round out just about every single meal with either a vegetable or grain side. I still keep subscriptions to Blue Apron and Sun Basket (I just skip most weeks) because sometimes they have meals from different cuisines that are

Truer words...

That’s kind of what I figured. We have a few pieces of furniture that probably ought to be anchored, but they are in rooms my daughter is just not allowed in unless we’ve got a super close eye on her.

In addition to what others have said, toddlers have a tendency to climb. So when you have a 30-pound kid attempting to scale the front of it, it’s not too hard to imagine. TBH I’m kind of surprised those shoddy kits they provide to secure this type of furniture actually make that much of a difference.

Oh my God, how scary! We came thisclose to buying the Malm dresser for my daughter’s room but then a neighbor handed us down a crib, enabling us to afford a much sturdier but (of course) more expensive option, and of course that was the first thing I thought of when I saw this story. I just cannot imagine.

I think in the past dressers were much more likely to be made of heavy hard woods that were therefore much less likely to tip - same as with higher-quality dressers now. It’s these super-lightweight pressboard dressers that present the issue - it doesn’t take much to tip them, especially if they are top-heavy.

But pressed wood is much, much lighter than solid wood. Even an unusually large/heavy toddler would have a difficult time tipping most solid wood dressers, no matter how heavily loaded the upper drawers are. Heck, I don’t think *I* could tip over any of the solid wood dressers in our house.

Between working full-time, having a shitty commute, and then caring for my child in the 90 minutes I see her each weekday, I don’t have time for mom friends. I barely even see my husband since we work overlapping shifts to reduce the childcare burden. I have to do all my mom-socializing on the Internet...which is

I have an extremely uncommon name - there are maybe three or four of us in the whole country. One of them happened to live in the same metro area as me, and was active in the local community theater scene, which was also an interest of mine when I was younger. One day my mother called me, irate that I had been

This is a very literal take on one of the most popular jokes from my early elementary school years...
