Blake Shelton is in fact an exceptionally talented (not to mention handsome) country singer/songwriter with an extremely badass fellow country singer/songwriter fiancee (Miranda Lambert). I realize country is not the cool thing, but no need to be dismissive about it.

I live in SF also and am currently stuck in Boston on a business trip. Needless to say, I've spent most of the morning all tied up in knots worrying about my apartment. Thank God my car is parked at the airport and not on the street, as it usually is...

This explains why I have noticed absolutely no difference in effectiveness between the clinical strength and the regular.

I am both proud to hail from a state where the Reblican rep voted against the defunding and proud that my fellow native New Hampshirites elected a guy named Chuck Bass.

Also, height is a big part of it. If you're 5'11, gaining 10 pounds isn't all that noticeable, while if you're 5'1, it would be a huge change. Someone who is that height and has a normal metabolism might well have to seriously overeat to maintain a 10/12.

@Polyandthenomials are in LA: I like to think so. And, not to be giving unsolicited advice, but based on my own experience I would really highly recommend that you just believe what you personally believe and do what feels right to you. You will be so much happier than if you just constantly try to adhere to dogma

@Girl-With-A-Pearl-Earring: He sounds like he has some issues of his own. No one says that sort of thing unless they're trying to strike a nerve.

@Polyandthenomials are in LA: Don't regret it! Working through these kinds of things with the support of an awesome community will be helpful to you in the long run.

@duckdeux: Yay! You may also want to check out the Warwick Hotel. It's part of the boutique chain, but the Seattle location is inexpicably inexpensive and very centrally located.

@Polyandthenomials are in LA: I guess, but at the same time, religion's kind of a lot of different ways of looking at the same thing. And I say this as someone who was raised uber-Catholic. Coming to a compromise long term would not be the hardest thing ever in most cases.

@Polyandthenomials are in LA: Does it really matter? I mean, in the grand scheme of your life, does religion supersede majorly important romantic relationships?

@Hell on Heels: Excuse me, the Steelhead Diner. I've been drinking sangria for like six hours.

@duckdeux: I'd really highly recommend going to the Steelhead Cafe in Pike Place Market and sitting at the little ledge just outside the kitchen. I spent some time alone in Seattle for work a couple of years ago and that was pretty much my home base while I was there. The food is amazing and the cooks are friendly

@mutualcraze: I don't mean to sound harsh, but nothing is ever going to be normal until you can disentangle yourself. It sucks, but it's the only way.

@mutualcraze: I've been kind of in your situation for a while now, and (thanks to the advice of numerous Jezebels) I've come to the realization that, in the beginning at least, you need space. You'll eventually be friends if you're on the right wavelength, but for now, you need to separate yourself.

@mirmur: I'm sure it was a typo, but I'm giggling at the thought of getting waxed in a saloon.

@dogsnomasters: Hand raised. There are many, many arguments for keeping things hairless that have nothing to do feminist issues.

Doritos and Mountain Dew can totally be part of a balanced diet as long as you're not consuming exclusively Doritos and Mountain Dew. An all or nothing mentality does not help anyone.

@thisisthepanopticon: The company is called The Fatted Calf and everything they make is superb. Also, we should absolutely organize a meetup...being new here, I'd love to meet some fellow CA Jezzies; I went to a few meetups in Boston and they were so much fun.
