Who said they were innocent?
Who said they were innocent?
Maybe you should do it?
Did you know that Nazis felt like their subjects were sub-human?
More angry tribal rhetoric. More sound and fury and angry keyboard smashing signifying nothing.
As I said, Richard, I agree with your point more. And I think that Persnickety has her head up her ass and is either in denial, or simply afraid.
I have no need to convince anybody of anything.
Lenny, again. Concur.
You mistake suspicion for intelligence.
Whatever we do, let’s don’t call them concentration camps.
But then I watched the video. She very obviously throws up a Nazi salute, holds it, then transitions it into a wave.
But..but...I learned from one Ms. Persnickety Pants to lecture this thread about how this is a war of language, and Nazi comparisons never work.
Does anyone on this fucking site actually understand that we are at war here? And that for language to be weaponized for our benefit and more importantly for the benefit those who don’t have a voice, we need to do it effectively? Nazi comparisons never work.
Ah, yes. The reference to “grey” commenters as trolls.
I actually find you to be a simpleton and a coward.
Yes, she almost certainly did mean to offend millions. (She also used the correct term, but that is not what we are talking about any more, is it? We are talking about pearls that are now being clutched.)
POW CAMP, WHATEVER!
Actually, to contradict my own choice of meme.
It would have been better to use another term to prevent this if the goal is to highlight how horrible conditions are rather than her use of language. Perhaps “internment camp” comparing it to what we did to the Japanese; or maybe a “POW camp” that ignores the basic rights set forth by the Geneva convention.
Because people on one side of this debate are being willfully and purposefully obtuse, because they don’t like this current talk.
Oh, I think he’s a fascist.
