The updated article I saw on another site said that the teacher was suspended and personally apologized to the family of the student that lodged the complaint, as did the school administration, and the teacher also said in no uncertain terms she would never do this assignment or anything similar…

Teachers still need protections from the masses so they can’t be fired for controversial lessons.
