I had a guy in my grad program who didn’t shower (or brush his teeth). Ever. Everyone cringed when he walked in the seminar room and prayed that he didn’t sit next to them. Like it mattered, because you could smell him from three chairs away.

This is from one of the Big Corp companies that also tell us to slather on toothpaste to cover the entire surface of one’s toothbrush: it is a waste of product.

1x spray - end of story. That’s all you need. Anything more is too damn much.

You need to get someone (not you, preferably outside your home) to get a wiff of you. If they can smell your OodaLoveMe from 10ft away, you have put on too much.

The problem is the daily slather. After a short while, the nose gets used to it, and you think you need to put more on. You don’t!

Personally I think “none” is exactly the right amount of perfume/cologne.

I’m of the opinion that someone shouldn’t notice a fragrance unless they are close enough to embrace.
