“Underdog” is an excellent prediction. I watched some of his Facebook Live videos and there was a video that featured that song and it was so, so perfect for him. AND ALSO I LOVE HIM AND I ALSO STILL LOVE THAT SONG AND 2004 WAS A GREAT YEAR SO SHUT UP.

My employer offers generous vacation/sick time, however absolutely no paid time off for parental leave. This presents a tough conundrum. Any sick day a young employee takes now, takes away from a sick day they could use for the birth of a child.

What makes me most sad about the catcalling is it’s stopped me from wanting to be friendly and say hi. I’m grew up in the friendly(ish) midwest and am now living in a big(ish) city and on my morning walk into work, I hesitate to smile and say good morning to people on the street. It kind of breaks my heart.

I have a job where I am meeting with different people throughout the day. I live in South Texas so these are people from the border (or the Valley, as we call it), southern bells a la Lindsey Graham or George Bush, a straight up midwestern non-accent-accent, or just young people speak (I mainly work with Generation Z).…
