Consumer Reports may test cars like they test refrigerators, but they’re great for telling it like it is when it comes to real world day to day driving - which is the way most people spend time in their cars.

Pedantic point: The LX platform isn’t based on the E class. It has E class suspension geometry and Chrysler raided the MB parts bin for the electrics but the base platform was developed by Chrysler before the purchase (and rape) by MB.

The V10 TDI is not included in this scandal.
