I knitted for years before I became a hooker. I do love the really finished look you get with knitted items, but I really enjoy how much more quickly you can whip something up with crochet.

Good for you. I always had to remind myself of the “airplane rule” when my kids were little: make sure your own oxygen mask is in place before helping others.
