I wouldn’t say Persona 5 is more “adult”, more like “less anime trope-y” and “more realistic”. In terms of the writing of the characters I mean.

Number 1 lesson in any Persona game: When entering a new area with new enemies, try out all types of skills on them and determine their weaknesses. After that, just open each encounter with that skill type and aim to use all out attack.

Persona 5 is a super long game, I’m not sure if there are many people who can stand more than 2 (I bet there are some though). It’s enough to collect all the trophies.

This game can only be truly enjoyed in at least 2 playthroughs.

True.

All confidants are assigned with each of the arcanas used in Tarot cards, same with all personas.

Mass Effect Andromeda. More like tinkering than playing though.

This game is the most satisfying RPG game that I purchased during my short PS4 gaming life.

It’s always important in Persona games to have a balanced roster of demons. Meaning that near the end of the game you should have obtained (or at least try to obtain) demons that resist/repel every single element in the game. Not all in one demon of course.

Last time I played this game was when Noctis co. touched down on Altissia. Good looking city, but then I saw yet another list of hunts, yet another seemingly populated but feels empty city, yet another set of trivial sidequests, and I said, nope, not doing this anymore.

You might not believe it, but some of these R18 visual novels contain the best, most unique and very detailed stories because in addition to sex scenes, “adult only” also mean the game can contain the goriest stuffs, meandering philosophical dialogues, psychological horror, totally insane characters, etc.

Kurisutiiiinaa~

Old man alert!

Finishing my second playthrough of Persona 5 before I take the disc out of my PS4 to make way for Mass Effect Andromeda.

Because in Japan and basically anywhere in Asia, bread is not something people usually eat as a meal. We have rice and noodles for that.

Great article!

Sega Genesis/SNES - Kindergarten to early elementary school years. I was a kid who button-mashed through everything.

I also love how Morgana politely leaves the protag alone when he wants to hang out with the social link characters.

Morgana is the best voiced (in the JP version), most well-written mascot character in a Persona game, period.

Mementos is mostly optional but it has plenty of unique demons you won’t find in the scripted dungeons, and without spoiling much, the Mementos is actually tied to the main plot as well, which will be revealed towards the end.
