When you ask “where are the fossils” - especially in tropical areas - what would you expect? Just 500 years of abandonment and we can’t even find cities. Parts of civilization in Mexico are under 50 feet of detritus. DNA, much less bones can’t resist complete decomposition. It’s hard enough to find fossils in a

Seems like Apple could reduce e-waste more effectively by not having a proprietary connector.

I see Icelandic place names and figure they were generated by a cat walking on a keyboard, but then I also figure they look at my home town and say “Chicago?  How do you say that?  There’s not a single ‘J’ in that word!”

So you’re saying Jurassic Park didn’t need exaggerated, over-sized velociraptors? They could have just used juvenile T-Rexes? Another piece of my childhood dies.

Suppose they just grow new bodies? Healthy, vigorous bodies that can photosynthesize?

Attack on Titan had nothing on Gate. The pro-military, pro-colonial views in that were off the chart, but I pretty much lost in when the Japanese military dude was lecturing his “fantasy realm”  comrades about how Japan would never allow their enemies to work in prostitution, let alone force them.

For me its The Gospel Truth(s), Zero to Hero, and Go the Distance- Also, if you haven’t seen this before I *HIGHLY* recommend.

Oh, that’s a shame. A cinematic universe where a bunch of different Greek myths are adapted and crossover with one another (see: the Argonauts) might be a lot of fun and really interesting. A bunch of sequels to Hercules’s story (especially if they’re keeping to the Disney-fied version instead of the myths’ version)

As is true of Black people elsewhere, Africans were colonized -by Britain in Nigeria’s case. Christianity and Islam forced on us. Western names were deemed more “civilized”. His being an oloshi (fool) and yeye (useless) person are the issues, not his name. Otherwise, it devolves into an ugly discussion. E.g. The
