I've found that generally, men don't read my profile. They go right for my picture and then email me. When I ask them to read the profile, which clearly states I am a post-op transsexual woman, in the 1st paragraph!, then they cease contact.

I always knew who I was, from as early as age 4 that I wasn't a boy. The only people who don't want a transgender kid to suppress puberty until of adult age to make their own decisions are those who don't accept trans in the first place.

As a post-op transsexual, this surgery is NOT minor. However, the outcomes are usually very good as far as physical healing and functionality.

@Kensington, what you say is very true. Both of my parents died when I was in my 30s. While they knew my children at 1 and 4 years of age, they never got to see them turn into the wonderful adults they are now. We strive to keep them alive with photos and memories.
