I think it's kinda sad that bjork became a punchline to so many jokes during her career. She's insanely important to modern music, and is one of the most influential female artists ever.

Last time I checked you aren't putting your period blood into a jar and saving it to make it into food. There's nothing gross about the bodily function, but saving it for later like it's leftovers is pretty nasty.

You can end up getting a bad "mother" and starting a batch that's contaminated. But most of the time they aren't dangerous enough to really hurt anyone, just might give them the runs for a few days.

I think most people would be fine if it was safe, lab-checked. But the idea of some lady collecting bodily fluids at home, is super gross. That lady has no clue if what she's doing is safe for consumption. She could seriously fuck herself up.

Every social movement has it's issues. I think we just expect that people in lgbtq+ wouldn't stereotype, but they do, not just to bi people(we see tons of "positive" stereotypes too, but they are still stereotypes and kind of a slippery slope). Inward critique of a social community can be just as important as outward…

Bisexuality is just so often made less visible through micro-transgressions(and the constant separating into catagories), and even in the lgbt community it happens. Pan people trying to set bis as "others" or somehow more binary/black and white feels to me the same way I felt when both lesbians and straight men…
