Traditional gender roles are making a comeback. Kind of gets me down.

I fully acknowledge I’m being super judgy. But i just don’t think I’m wrong. There are always Reasons and Justifications about why an individual woman’s choice was totally removed from the patriarchal ramifications behind the tradition but notice how all of these exceptions that have nothing to do with tradition or…
I know there are always Reasons but it’s funny how it always ends up with the woman changing her name to her husband’s. This isn’t meant as a personal attack, I just do think that there are a lot of ways that society and relationships subconsciously influence women’s decisions and push them to stick with the…
I saw the headline and thought “Don’t read it.” Scrolled resolutely to the next article...scrolled back up, and thought “Don’t read it.” Stared at the screen in resignation, because I knew I was going to read it.
Then we would never spend money in America at all.
These are teens, leave them alone.
Kylie looks gorgeous in that pic. Where her makeup is concerned, less if definitely more.
This is a really great piece! It looks like you put a lot of time into it—I’d be curious to know how much if you’re willing to say—and it paid off. Great job.
This.
“...women like Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kellyanne Conway, who display so little emotion that it is often alarming to hear them speak.”
Yeah, I had to delete a star for that. To each his/her own, but sexual “misconduct” is a big no for me.
This is a movie no one asked for, and no one ever will, either. Just as he spit on Uma Thurman, he now spits on Sharon Tate, her family, and the La Biancas and Folgers et al.
LOL yeah, had to take my star back. Sexual misconduct not being an instant red flag is trash and he knows it... because its usually a male aggressor with a female victim. That’s why he won’t argue his reasons and qualified it with being a “woman hater.” His reasons are most likely steeped in misogyny and sexism.
Straight up, white women are the problem. They’re overwhelmingly the single-issue voters on abortion who are willfully blind to the atrocities these legislators commit while paying lip service to the pro-life agenda (some of them are true believers).
I was with you til that last paragraph 👀😳
Thanks for the info! I don’t really give Ronnie a pass for “Sweet Home Alabama”, because the way he looked at it, Neil Young writing two songs about how Southern oppression was unacceptable. (One song would have been acceptable, though? Goddammit Ronnie.)
A memorial of anything else would be better. A memorial to fucking Arby’s would be 100 times less idiotic than this bill.
If Bill had campaigned more for her then she would’ve easily been targeted and smeared over needing his help to get her elected, and it would’ve been one more feather in the cap of the “no one likes her folks”.
*sigh*
