I thought it was quite upbeat and practical considering the time it was published in.

I found this photo I sent to friends when she gave it to me.

She got married at 19. I don't know what she'd do if her husband died, probably throw herself on the funeral pyre. LOL thats terrible.

I have the original I guess, its bound with an orange cover.

The funny thing is I never complain about my lot in life. I like being alone and I haven't met the right man for me.

It is in my storage unit right now but its from 1936 and a lady named Marjorie Hillis wrote it.

A book called "Live Alone and Like It." From the 1930s. From my sister.

Ah yes the former fatties shame

I met one in real life!! He tried to wear it in public with me. LOL!!!!!

We should make a MRA bingo card for the trolls.

Only certain dudes, whose idea of masculinity is skewed to say the least.

That is depressing. The "old dogs new tricks" rule applied to domestic violence.

There are so many unreported rapes. Unreported to the police, unreported to anyone.

Please let go of your guilt. You are a victim and considering how rape victims are ostracized you can't be blamed for your reaction. It was self preservation.

I'm happy to hear that, I'm glad your dad got better.

Thanks for the perspective, I discounted the role substance abuse can play in domestic violence.

Clearly the alphas are out there fist bumping themselves about not being around women….actually I'm not sure what they are doing.

This guy also wrote on the flu shot article.

Can women beaters be reformed? If so, using what? The justice system takes away their freedom for a bit and then they are back at it.

The statute of limitations was put in place not to limit punishment but to protect against bad cases going forward. Evidence deteriorates, witnesses memories fade, etc etc.
