Driving down from Las Vegas on the I-15—-which takes you through the same landscape where Death Valley, I noticed that it looked like Tatooine, an alien world on our own planet. What was peculiar, though, was that—-being a lifelong Star Wars fan, the desert terrain felt familiar, almost as it was a second home.
