To be honest, I prefer “Across” and “Beyond” rather than Pt. 1 and Pt. 2.  Imagine if there was an “Empire Strikes Back Part 1".

Perhaps if she hadn’t jumped in, she wouldn’t have been in a position to get hit by a chair. She wasn’t part of the original jumping of the security guard.

you don’t live in NYC I take it. That area is already crowded with people, parks with playgrounds, lots of shopping, trains etc. I’m not a fan of police, but having more than enough to keep things safe seems ok to me.

In this case the old man is right.

He told everyone to show up at a given time and didn’t bother to give the city any heads up.

accidentally causes a riot by promising to give stuff away is about as low on the influencer scandal scale as you can get.

You want to point us towards a similar event to show us this scale of yours? It’s accident brought about by poor planning. You need a permit to do just about anything in NYC. He knows better, he just didn’t care. Let him get punished for once.

I think you’re missing the part where “giving out gift cards without a permit” drew 2000 people without any semblance of order. There was just the small crew of people around the vehicle/area they were giving out things. That’s why you need the permit. When you apply you have to state how much area you need, how

Incitement to riot doesn’t require that you tell people to be violent - it simply requires that your actions encourage people to riot, whether that is your intent or not, spoken or not.

If there was ever a good time for a city to fine someone for “not going through the right channels,” this would be as good as any.

Based on comments here and elsewhere I feel as if I’m in the minority, but I am one of the few that absolutely loved this game and it’s overriding message. Yes, Kojima loves the sound of his own voice and smell of his own farts, but the central theme of the game is accurate and true.

I believe Kojima has said in interviews that he knew the game would be poliazing and not everyone will enjoy it. He knew what he wanted the game to be, and he made that game, even though this would lead to lead to missed sales, I can respect that.

Ok.

It may potentially have some uses as a boring behind the scenes industry technology. But it’s absolutely worthless as a consumer level technology, hence why the NFT market crashed and burned. Ultimately it’s at the consumer level where the grifters have been trying to sell people on the blockchain and it’s why people

Neither of us is a law wizard, but the wizards at the FTC think it does violate antitrust laws, so I’m going with that.

It’s also bad for the world, if you care about that.

Counter-arguments to what? You haven’t made any intelligent arguments yet, just “please explain how X is X” and “how can X be bad when we’ve been doing the bad thing for decades”.

“Please explain how IP exclusivity is an antitrust issue”
By definition. Please understand what words mean before you use them.

“when it’s been a standard practice across the industry for decades”
Completely irrelevant. “We’ve always done it this way, therefore it isn’t wrong” is a stupid argument.

The merger doesn’t hurt consumers in any ways”
Wrong
that aren’t already happening regularly”
Weasel words to get around your previous wrongness.

That wasn’t my argument, just a statement of fact.
