It’s kind of crazy to me that someone can write about box office results every week and seemingly have no idea how movie financials work. The amount a movie grosses in theaters on its own doesn’t matter at all - these movies are disappointments because studios are spending absurd amounts of money to make them.

The CEO is not correct, at least in the sense that this is not a thing that Sony started. This has literally been how the industry has worked for decades.

Xbox (original) outsold GameCube, and Xbox One outsold WiiU (by a HUGE margin). I think they might be playing this up a bit for some unexplainable reason :P

One man’s toothpaste is another man’s semen

That’s a truly meaningless comparison.

I think people are torn between really wanting Zelda’s story to be faithful and translate all of its epic scale and knowing, deep down inside, that Zelda has a very dumb story that, if told faithfully, will be very dumb.

Theyre not saying Link is officially and canonically trans. They’re saying Link isn’t a super masculine character the way mmostmale heroes are portrayed, and Link’s androgynous look lends itself to folks playing Link as a trans or differently gendered character.

Oh no, somebody identifies with something I love in a way I don’t relate to and that makes me uncomfortable which I can only express in outrage because I’m too immature to deal with nuanced emotions.

Complacency, complacency all over this comment section. People are really buying into this corporate BS?! That’s why the only things functional and feature complete in any modern games are the cash shop/microtransactions.

You hire on at 10-12 an hour, and are worked at that rate......

Wow, pissing on the underemployed having to take a bad job over having no job. Very brave

It’s almost as if people expect pay raises after doing a good job and working for years, at the least the kind that keep up with inflation!

Something tells me it has more to do with fairly inexperienced kids and young adults being told of potential raises that never come and not realizing that they’re going to be expected to work like they’re getting paid commission when they aren’t, all while under constant threat. Seems like you just like to complain

I don’t think it’s that people are surprised by their pay when they get hired.  It’s more that they can’t live with constant inflation without their pay increasing.

Employers are like strippers during a lap dance; they’ll encourage you by insinuating there will be more all day, but it never comes.

This one goes out to everyone who has ever said “only fans of this series should be on the review”, a practice that serves nobody except the fans who were already gonna play the game anyway.

While I agree the problem is capitalism, the reality is that this capital is being controlled by a specific group of people you included in your list but told us not to get angry at.

Lol everybody said the console market was dying at the beginning of last gen as well and Sony cranked out nearly 120 million PS4's. The PS5 is already on pace to surpass that. Nintendo sells Switches hand over fist. Only the Xbox is really seeing struggles in the hardware market, and you have to think that’s largely

But that console could be either an Xbox or PS right? If you don’t particularly care for subscription services, then I would rather use the console that has all the multiplatform releases AND good exclusives. The PS5 is that console for me. I do have and Xbox, but at this point it is exclusively a gamepass machine for
