They can’t. It’s biology.

It’s absolutely fantastic that you’re calling me willfully obtuse, and then asking me why we don’t have men’s and women’s accounting, like we do with sports.

holy shit dude the levels of stupidity in this comment.

the men are 8-19-6 in their World Cup history.

Considering my analogy was about how the stronger performance was earning less money, you’re literally agreeing with me.

well, we were talking about them “doing the same job.” Your comment was about how the mens game earns more money. No one disputes that, and no one who is reasonable is suggesting that the women should be receiving money earned by the men.

the argument made by the actual national teams, though, is the only one that matters, and they’re both looking for salaries to be based on revenue.

it’s almost like earnings should be tied to revenue, or something. i wonder if anyone’s thought of that yet?

Maybe we have different definitions of the word “performance” but one of our waiters has won two straight world cups and the other didn’t even qualify last time.

well i’m sure it has nothing to do with their gender, right?

any time you can jump into a discussion you’re not a part of and immediately try to change the topic, you gotta do it, amirite?

the working theory of who? The NY Post? this is a ridiculous take.

Yeah, this point was brought up in the article. The egregious sexism of FIFA shouldn’t really be used as a means of proving that the egregious sexism of US Soccer is fine.

i mean, the literal entire history of the sport has show that the US women win far more often than the men, but even if we accept your premise, the fact that they both earn “bonuses” for wins and ties, yet the mens are significantly higher, proves my point.

they are doing the same job: professional soccer ball kicker.

You purposely choose extreme examples, though. You’re also ignoring the fact that, unlike the WNBA, the women generate equal or more revenue than the men.

Math is a difficult concept for contrarians

The Mets think they can win a Wild Card this year. That might be a ridiculous idea, but if they do manage to sneak into a 5-game series, running out a rotation of DeGrom > Thor > Stroman > Wheeler is pretty ridiculous.
