Your post makes the assumption that age is the only thing that creates such an imbalance. In reality, age has very little to do with it. Every relationship has some sort of imbalance, largely due to personalities. 

i have no idea where i stand on this issue, but it literally means nothing what you think about proper age - the law has an age of consent, and that is the age of consent. full stop.
