I’ve seen a great deal of fender benders from people trying to back out of a tight spot and hitting their neighbor, or hitting a passing car. If they had picked a less crowded area to park they could’ve avoided the accident. 

I like how these folks want all the perks of a governed society but none of the responsibilities. Isn’t there a patch of desert or tundra or a vacant Island we could move them to so they could be free.

In high school a friend of mine and I each had VW Passats. I found an ebay auction for a bracket that would allow me to keep the trunk lid level while opening it not totally unlike this contraption.
