I have a rain barrel and I love it. I didn't get one to save money, per se. But I wanted to be more conservative with water. It's a repurposed 55-gallon food-grade barrel, with a sealed inlet hooked up to a Water Saver downspout diverter. I easily water several of my gardens for weeks on a full barrel. No…
WOOT WOOT Philly in da house!
It's important to note that the Samsung 46" LCD TV is 240Hz. Otherwise, it'd be a horrible deal at $1700. I just got the 60Hz version for $1100.
I've used Crossloop for a while, and have been waiting for a Mac version, so thanks! With the versions I use, which might be a couple behind current, it does prompt you to sign up for an account, but if you X out hat box you can get right to the program anonymously.
I wonder if someone'll come up with a mashup of this kind of information, mixed with the names/emails of Customer Service executives (like the Consumerist constantly discusses), for when the person you eventually get to speak with can't/won't help you.
@speaknspell23: I applaud you.
@VayaConQueso: It's not legal anywhere in the US (and prolly Canada) for a landlord to evict a tenant because they think the tenant can't afford the rent.
@tok3ninja: Currently, I am on a promotion from Comcast for HSI, HDTV and 1 HD DVR (no premium channels). I pay $90/month. When the promo is over, I will call the Customer Retention dept back and ask to be put back on a similar promo. I have been doing this for 5 years.
@Fourstring85: It's about $450,000.
What I'm still trying to figure out is, how to get WAMP to handle asp files. Anyone know?

@l337_7r4d3r: Absolutely true, no argument here. Making the money a person currently has work efficiently for them is very important. But notice that I said that saving shouldn't be the only method (rather than suggesting to do one or the other). Also, in some cases, new earnings wouldn't necessarily be taxed. One…
I like reading articles about how to save money. Maybe it's because I read so many, but most of the tips I see are recycled from one article to another.
Maybe it's because I didn't sleep well last night and almost got in to an accident on the way to work today, but I can't see the link for the article in the post above.
Anyone know when [inumbr.com] will be giving out numbers again?
You will be missed Gina, but I know that Adam will do a great job. Lifehacker wouldn't be what it is today without both of you.
I purchased an investment real-estate property in efforts to diversify my net worth. I also started my own side business that hasn't fully gotten of the ground yet, but I work on it consistently.
Google, then SlickDeals.net
@richmatt48: I have been a customer of fastmail for several years and have been extremely happy with their service. I have never had a need to contact their customer support, but their server's speed and availability have been 100% for me.
