It’s really not. Watched it with 2 other people and we loved the movie.

Am I wrong in being extremely weird out about how the article brushes off Amy Heckerling actions? I mean all this criticism of Lorne Michaels is more than valid and he should be call out about it but the article kinds of skips over that all that Kattan alleges happened, did so because Heckerling propositioned him and…
Just curious, as someone who has only lived in places where Jeopardy has run at 7 or 7:30 p.m. — is there a typical time it airs?
I wish #FatEric was one of his trending aliases. If I ever see him in person I’m gonna yell out “HEY FAT ERIC”.
Makes him look even older, I think. Really completes that “creepy old man” look.
If anything, this isn’t even close to better. This is worse. Much worse. Scuzzier and slimier worse. It’s like Steve Bannon took Trump to his hair stylist.
As a child of a father with memory issues, the scene with Wayne and Rebecca in the car when she tells him, “I miss you right now” broke my heart.
Roland may have been looking for punishment like Junius, but he didn’t just stand there like a dope, he kicked some serious biker ass. And I agree that Dorff's performance was one of the nicest surprises in a long time.
I felt like the reference in this review was there just to throw in a buzzword. And that it was used in a blanket way. “Oh look, there are two men having a tense confrontation. It must be toxic masculinity!” Were they expected to hug? I don’t see that being men with destructive notions of masculinity led Hoyt and Hays…
Damn he got gooped good! I was just in Deer Valley last week and my friend got plowed down, no lawsuits though :)
The worst part is I think the time constraints of a movie would benefit Nic Pizzolatto and make him tighten up the slack areas of writing and plotting that drag down the good parts of his show.
I need every review of this show to come with a disclaimer from now on.
what's the point of having a full season review based on five episodes?
I always thought they had just taken down one small cog in the mystic ritual rape-murder organization.
The last episode really hit the spot for me, but I agree the green paint thing was stupid.
I’m both interested and scared of this season. My mom had Alzheimer’s and it was constantly surprising. I haven’t yet seen a show that dealt with it well (with the possible exception of parts of Castle Rock).
Yes my only beef with the first 7 epsiodes is the way they caught the lawnmower man. “What if he had green paint in his hair?” I always found that a little contrived.
I swear, we, as viewing audiences, are becoming impossible to please. “S1 was brilliant!” “S2 was nothing like S1! Booooo! Hisssss!” “S3 is just like S1! More of the same!? Boooo! Hissss!”
I don’t think they reduced the conspiracy to that one psychopath at all. They explicitly state at the end that the case will never be fully resolved, that they will never find every person involved in the conspiracy to cover up the murders. Yes, the Carcosa mysticism can pretty much all be traced back to the one…
Secondededed! Also, also thanks for the reviews. The AV Club is stockpiling a worthy filofax of TV critiques of shows that aired before TV critiques were a thing.
