I never realized Canadians had such a thing with Ketchup. Just visited a few weeks ago and a few of the things I saw were Burger King Ketchup Nuggets, and a t-shirt that said “I put ketchup on my ketchup.”

Well, to be fair that was my girl dinner almost every night when my kids were young.

Portland is okay (but still weirdly racist in a lot insidious ways), but a lot of the small towns and outlying areas (which is most of Oregon) are still very white and very racist.

I don’t know about it being on the rise - Oregon was founded as a pretty overtly racist state. It’s more like people are becoming more aware of the prevalent bad behavior.
