I have been taking E.D. Mondaine’s words to heart.
It is really hard to know the best way forward here at this time, but I’m just going to keep on listening, trying to learn, and doing the best I can. 
The Root remains a great place of learning.

As I said in another post, I haven’t delved too deeply into this, so I don’t feel like I can comment on the details until I do.

I usually don’t ask what we white people can do, because it’s not your responsibility to educate me. But I am truly at a loss here.

I haven’t delved in to deep into the nitty-gritty of this, but the response I saw from Bev Barnum seemed more like she wasn’t trying to be shady, she was just going ahead with what she thought would best serve the group - whomever was the leader.
