I'm not so sure, but I did appreciate the little nods to Kubrick in Season 1. As distinctive as Kubrick's style is, I do think the citation of it in S1 is very different than the Lynch-like sequences in this season.

If last season owed a debt to Kubrick, this one does to Lynch.
ugh, a reminder of why I never made it past the beginning of Season 2 of that show..
Leon is a fixer/ninja for the DA, isn't he? He doesn't seem like he was hired for surveillance work..
This makes sense. It does seem to me like the world is not going to be super-occupied with both the re-appearance of Tyrell and the prosecution of Scott though, right? It doesn't seem like anything would be working particularly well in their current climate.
I have lots of questions, but the main one is why/how the Joanna storyline fits into anything at all. It is the one plotline that doesn't seem to add anything to the show-I keep thinking that it will…and then it doesn't.
Yeah fair enough, I'm at a loss for a good example-in my defense, I definitely meant 'what seemed to be' an honest private reckoning because, as you've pointed out, a lot of people lose a lot of money when high profile athletes engage in behavior that damages their ability to make money-ahem, I mean, their public…
I think it just did.
Fair enough. :)
Thanks for the thoughtful reply. While I don't think it's possible to completely eradicate campus sexual abuse, I do think visibility and insistence on engaging others is the way to ameliorate the problem.
Have a look at this person's comment history-don't bother.
My first soundtrack (and tape, coincidentally) was Singles. I got over my fear of interacting with the super-cool record store dudes at the super-cool record store and bought Out of Time the following week, with some money my grandma gave me for getting good grades.
I hadn't thought about the conflict part, it's a really interesting point. There have been a few moments when the contestants have looked upset or obviously crestfallen because something went awry, and our little ones must be similar, because these situations normally make him very anxious. There was a contestant…
I'm pretty much in agreement with the general sentiment here-I really enjoy this show and even being spoiled for various seasons, it's fun to watch.
I haven't read the comics-in fact, I'm very new to superhero comics. There is a really neat comic book store near my house and I was a little overwhelmed on my first trip in there (I was looking for Black Panther), so I'm making a list of at least some things I can read from time to time. Thanks so much for your…
Sadly, I don't think they are! The summer I did the re-watch was the last time I had the dvd in the mail option from Netflix, I believe, and I got it that way. I went through Homicide and Friday Night Lights that summer!
I did a Homicide re-watch a couple of summers ago and really enjoyed it. I loved the show while it was on (and specifically remember watching this episode) and was pleased to find that it has held up remarkably well for me.

Gilles Peterson has been playing this song and featuring the artist off and on for the past few months, but I kept forgetting to look up his name and check out more of his work. So glad this is worth looking into-and the video is fantastic, nice to have some images to go with a song that struck me the first time I…
How can there be NO nominations for Penny Dreadful and a bunch for Downton Abbey? I think I know how folks who loved Hannibal feel.
