On the off chance you're not one of those people who complains that there's not a 'white history month', I'll just say that your comparison might not be the best way to come at this.

Fair enough! I liked Three Kings quite a bit, and I think it's held up well over the years. I had a student who wrote about it in contrast to 'The Hurt Locker' for a final paper a while back and re-watched it then.
And?
Well there you go! I'd be interested to know what you think.
I say it's worth a shot at least, since it's probably fairly easy to find. There are some fantastic fight sequences, and I did find that I got acclimated to that 'here's what a foley artist thinks a breaking bone sounds like' sound so that it wasn't so shocking.
Food porn.
Ah. I asked because it sounds like we have similar tolerance for bone-snapping/gore, etc in action movies, and Ong-Bak is one of my benchmarks for tolerance for graphic violence. It's really entertaining, and I loved the fighting style-since I typically watch Hong Kong stuff if I'm looking for good action films,…
It used to be the Military Channel, and they changed the name fairly recently. I suppose it was a kind of appeal to their target demographic, but it does seem to imply a kind of political association as well, and I think that's kinda lame. Not everyone who likes military history/documentaries is conservative.
Did you make it through Ong-Bak?
Or 'They'll have to bury what's left of you in a soup can!'
I saw Boyd push something on the cigarette pack before handing it to Picker, but I forgot what show I was watching, because I thought it was some kind of recording device.
I'm working my way through this entire series-I'm glad you're writing these!
I think the distinction between a bandanna and a do-rag is thus:
Having read 'mark' 's other comments I don't think assuming sexism is going out on a limb in the slightest.
I have some bad news for you re: Arlo…
I have a Lettera 22 that I use to type comments on student papers. I used it all through my undergraduate years since I could never afford a computer. It's held up beautifully.
About his bruised ego, and that general feeling of failure one gets when a relationship is ending? Sure. You can have both without giving a second thought about the other person. Trust me.
I love the way 'The Informant' was so quietly pertinent. It is my favorite of Matt Damon's performances. And the soundtrack is absolutely brilliant.
Reading about it here I'm sure sorry I missed it.
On a more positive note, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinkski have been a delight with the figure skating commentary. Hey NBC, this is EXACTLY how to use ex-athletes as commentators.
