I know it has always been a mix of articles, I have been reading it for years. I think that has shifted a bit over the last few months so that actual video game articles are a smaller part of the mix.

It’s a novelty piece. It’s like the world record from trampoline jumping. And when we do get pieces about games it’s often like this, just fluff. Videos of funny game bugs, game art, fast run times, etc.

I was actually just thinking the opposite. Why does anyone really care about quick runs?

Then you are far different from most customers, and that’s probably driven by spending so much time on the other end of the phone.

Start with a brief summary of what you want right up front, then go into the details.

Here’s one thing that surprises a lot of CSR’s. There are some little things that you can do that will greatly reduce the yelling.

Keep in mind that most CS groups are terribly run and provide average to awful service. The industry has trained the callers to behave in this way because they expect poor service and to be given incorrect information. They are also trained that a company will gladly screw them over unless they really raise a fuss.

No help, they got lucky it made the news. Showing them as hitting goal probably discouraged others from making a contribution. The bigger issue was how cruel this was to the people trying to raise the money.

As the article points out, they are investing programming resources into this instead of much more pressing issues that users want addressed.

It can work both ways. I grew up in a suburban area, but most of my extended family are from rural PA. Up until recently and area that was 99.9% white.

Here are the real reasons:

You missed the new popular one.

I am a wagon guy, but I agree with your assessment. I want a decent sized wagon, awd, diesel. (I have owned the corolla wagon, 2 outbacks, and now a Ford freestyle)

It’s not about the video, I think you’re missing the point as to what would be upsetting to a kid in middle school.

Yep, she was struggling with bullying. And what could be better for someone being bullied then having to go to school everyday with an intentionally terrible haircut your dad gave you to humiliate you.

Youtube has nothing to do with it. The humiliation was having to go to school everyday with an intentionally terrible haircut. And realizing it will take more than a year to grow back.

Oh yes, totally reasonable thing to do to a kid who is being bullied at school.

That’s the thing, everyone has different preferences. The problems start when people decide that their preferences are the “right” way and abuse anyone who disagrees with them.

That’s true. The attention comes from people wondering why a 1995 Nissan Sentra has a steering wheel on the right side of the vehicle.

I agree, these should be addressed, but these are pretty small problems. The only times I have wanted a refund is when a game will not play at all, normally older games that have been re-released on Steam.
