or,
or,
obviously they mean that they are good for baking but useless on toast unless you add something else to the mix
Who calls their significant other by their full name?
I was shocked when this first happened but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. They are both the human equivalent of unsalted butter and they are perfect for each other.
I don’t think so.
Does it really matter? Credible or not I think it helps to publicize this sort of stuff — both to expose this ugliness and to push sites like Twitter to improve their harassment policies.
Art gets criticised, that’s kind of a thing that happens, yeah? Don’t read the criticism if you know you’ll feel the need to start whining about it.
if you don’t like reading differing opinions on a show you like
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: When the show faithfully represents the source material, they do a fantastic job. When they deviate and do their own thing, it’s fucking horrible. Last season they took the most liberties of any season, so it shouldn’t shock anyone that it was by far the worst season. This…
Fuck yourself, bigot.
Standing would seem illogical. Doesn’t that shut the poop hole up?
Calling the East India Company a shipping business is a little misleading. They did ship things but they also had a large army and ruled India. (The Indian Mutiny of 1857 started off among Indian and Muslim soldiers in the East India Company’s army.) So, it’s kind of like calling the Vikings a group of seafaring…
Holy shit! This guy is so wrong he almost doubles back to being right again. Let’s just tick through the problems I thought of off the top of my head, shall we?
The other day I got a hand gun to protect my kids, you know? And I’m really happy because it is SO important for them to be safe.
Where is the teacher supposed to put the gun? I'm sure as hell not going to have one in my waistband to fall out when the small children I teach grab my shirt or bump into me. It's not going on my desk where someone can grab it. This is a horrible idea
I wonders if he remembers that there was an armed security at Columbine during the shooting. The guard did not stop it despite his gun. Amazing, huh?
I agree... I feel like Jez’s passtime has become that of a unsupportive and mocking nature. The opposite is what brought me here in the first place.
I think your original interpretation is the valid one. Quoting single words generally means that the author doesn’t agree with the term, or is mocking its usage. It is not standard style to put quotes around single words without further explanation, so I am confused by the author’s response.
“She’s important because she...I just really identified with her,” Watson reflects. “I was the girl in school whose hand shot up to answer the questions. I was really eager to learn in an uncool way. In a super uncool way, actually. And then the character of Hermione gave me permission to be who I was.”
Yeah I'm pretty sure people would have forgotten the first humans on the Moon if Armstrong had used the word "humanity." Yep, yep, yeppers.
