If they wanted to make an original franchise, they would have. They are TRYING to remind people of the old film. This small sampling is nothing more than normal action sequences, and all the things they chose to remind fans of the first film. I'm not seeing how any of that adds up to a rip off.

I'm fairly sure you could take any two random action films and cut them together almost exactly like this. And after all, these two films do have the same plot. After that it's just punching shooting and generic images. How does that prove anything?
