You are very right. Though I will add that the cancer studies are, from what I understand, currently disputed. The issue is that as long as cannabis remains a schedule four drug it is very hard to study, and very hard to repeat studies (the repeating studies being the part most lacking from this research). So it's

That's the 'theory' that people use to explain the 'phenomena', but it's really as bunk as finding ghosts with EMF. The EM fields we are talking about just aren't big enough or directed enough to effect brain function.

They use what they call an E-Meter -

It just looks loud to me. I hate when trailers only convey that a movie is going to be loud.

What really gets me are the tattoos that Miss Nazgul has. They are so generic. Are they actually the tattoos of some lady he knows? Are they meta commentary about body art? WHY ARE THEY THERE?!?!

My reaction exactly.

Totally saw this at the shelf of my local library and read it in 2002 or sometime around then.

I would argue that it's worth watching the whole first season because a lot of the things that seem random sort of feel like they are falling together over the course of the season (like the aforementioned grenade, that's use was obviously known by the writers from the moment Frank picked it up).

Magic grenade? Are you kidding? I spent the whole season saying "When will he use the grenade?" Ok, actually not the whole season, when he didn't use it at the end of episode two I figured it would be an end of season tie-it-all-together kind of thing.

I agree that they just turned to dust, but then the question is why did no one notice that the whole staff of hundreds of people just up and vanished without explanation?

That is your question of Beauty and the Beast not 'Did the Beast live in a castle without tables and chairs and silverware before this? If not where did they go? And after they turned back to people, how long till his castle has a functional level of objects again'

Thanks much for the music!

I finally watched Tron a few weeks ago. The first thought I had while watching it was 'I must show this to my children when they are young.' I can completely understand now why so many people think of it as a defining movie of their childhood. It address a sophisticated issue extremely well while still being a

I support the practice of all wasp related articles on io9 to be headed by pictures of dead wasps. This is their better and more acceptable state of being.

Good a time as any to plug this AMAZING panel from the Amazing Meeting 9 (TAM 9 from Outer Space).

As long as they use the same genre based criteria and they include all the ladies who deserve nomination, not just the 'centerfold' ones, then I think it would be just as much fun as this.

I love Chris Evans pretty much unconditionally, but I do think he might have gone a bit far. He sort of looks swollen rather than buff.

Here, here!

Clicked through the whole thing for the JGL still.
