@RockstarLlama: I honestly didn't know it was Brad Bird (didn't read the post very close). I thought it would be Abrams again.

I didn't like the third one very much. It had a very nice cast (most of whom seemed to be pretty useless to the actual plot) and it was very pretty, but it was hollow, even for a spy film.
There is one tv depiction of stranger rape that I think is exceptionally well done - The Sopranos. The best part of that is when you see she is thinking about telling Tony, she knows Tony will find the guy and kill him. Then she doesn't, and it's in not doing it that she takes back some of her power.
Fifth Element - never have so many individually awesome things been thrown together into such a bad movie.
Seriously, if she'd put a few of these interesting sounding vampire in BEFORE the last quarter of the last book I might have actually finished the series.
@murderface_: I had no idea!! You are my hero.
That guy just incinerated in slow motion. T for teen doesn't mean what it used to.
It's always a toss up when you hear 'The Highlander' if it's gonna be news about Christopher Lambert or Adrian Paul. Personally, I wish I heard news about both of them everyday.
@Skrubed: Well he made the Oscar contender, now he needs to prove he can make the summer action blockbuster (or at least turn a profit trying). After that he can more easily green-light his personal projects.
@33rd°: I was going to get VIII for the strength card in a Tarot deck. You?
I'm very jealous of how bold this guy is. I can't even commit to a tattoo of a roman numeral.
@Rahll: Welcome to the life of any woman (though for non tattoo reason).
@hopskipper: Well as the show goes on each character gets more and more of a spot on center stage. There is even a whole episode where the 'bad guy' takes advantage of how left out a lot of the minority characters feel on the squad.
Bring it.
@Honu Harry: I always wondered about that. The force can travel over a com signal? I mean, sure, I guess, but it would have been nice to know the limits of such things.
@Honu Harry: This is the part that makes me worry about the idea. If Vader really could do this stuff then it cheapens a lot of the rest of the movies.
"Meanwhile, Darth Vader senses that Luke used the force to destroy the Death Star and there's a new wannabe Jedi in town — so Vader uses telepathy to choke Luke in his spacecraft, nearly killing him — except that R2D2 jumps the ship into hyperspace and takes it to Yoda's planet."
#5 = Starkiller?
I found baby Hitgirl was the best of these, but I still have serious issues with dressing up kids in costumes they are much to young to appreciate. I'm not for using kids as props. The costume has to come from something the kid loves, not something the parent loves. Best is, of course, something they love together,…
