I don't care what's going on inside that building, build it right now! I'll give you some money!!

@dropthepilot: What a perfect way to sum up that book.

@WookieLifeDay: I had one person flat out tell me that just because the writer thought that the last chapter of the book was important doesn't mean that it was actually important to the plot.

@thingummyjig: My favorite are the Enderby books. There is even one written all about Burgess' reaction to the movie Clock Work Orange -'The Clockwork Testament, or Enderby's End.' But the man has a huge body of work. Just pick one with an interesting sounding main character and see where it takes you.

Poor Anthony Burgess, always remembered for a book that wasn't half as good as most of his other stuff.

@bob_d: Agreed. I think the book will come out right about the time her kids start going to college and she is looking for ways to fill her time.

@cadrina: This. This! A million times this!!!

Since reading his post I have a hard time reading BBC and NPR news stories. I can't seem to take anything seriously.

@Darklighter: I'm on your side on this. That was a bad book. And not just the wandering in the woods bits. It was like a case study in how to NOT end a long running series.

@99TelepodProblems: I really love that top with that scarf(?). The hood and gloves aren't my thing (unless they are shielding me for the dust and poison in the atmosphere I guess). But really, I do like that shirt.

Giant ball of guns.

@Dr Emilio Lizardo: I don't know, sci-fi movies confuse studios. They don't know for 'good,' just 'profit making.' They are always a little less willing to think a sci-fi film will be profit making, so they dump them in the spring.

@Jesse Astle: Would the animated films count? If so, is that why there was such a rash of them in the last decade?

@GirlLibrarian: I sort of like what they did with Constantine. Here is my take, they sat down and said "We will never make a good film about John Constantine. The man will only ever really live in the comics. So let's just make a movie about how much we like John Constantine."

@PlaidNinja: Wouldn't the point be that he could 'un-dull' Superman.

Well, after the Wrestler I have a much higher opinion of Aronofsky than before. While I think he would make a watchable (but not great) Superman film (his is in fact the only name being batted around that I liked at all, mostly because of how odd the idea is), Preacher is much more his tone. I think he could make

What really impresses me, and this sound odd, the variety of facial types. I hadn't really thought about it before, but so many models don't just fit into specific body catagories, these days they must also have specific facial features. They all look like they've been cut out of the same mold.

This season splitting this is bothering me, and not just 'cause the idea of boxing up part of a season and ask me to pay for it is abhorrent. No. It's the numbering. 1.5, logically, should be half a season after 1.0, not the middle of season 1. So shouldn't it be split up like this - season 1 0.5, then 1; season
