Part of the problem too is that homes don't have the capacity in the main panel. Our 1970's era 100amp main panel was a tight fit for the 240v/40amp circuit we put in. Plus, our feed to the house is limited to 115 amps. Anything more requires trenching out to the subterranean transformer for more capacity. It's just…

The list isn't that long anymore as they're cranking them out pretty quickly now. We ordered ours in late March and just took delivery this last weekend. It's a phenomenal car and the entire purchase experience was sublimely easy. Godspeed, Tesla. Can't wait to see what they do next.

We went early this morn' to go watch it flyby at Moffett Field in Mountain View and the whole thing barely glanced near the runway. 20,000 of us and the pilot missed the memo to fly over the center.
