one of my favorite SNL sketches in a long time

I occasionally skim these reviews because I’m deciding whether or not I want to watch it (I already know The Twist), and Derek’s lines in the Stray Observations slayed me.

If you want real film analysis, Lindsay Ellis is your girl

I know people complain about these kinds of articles, but this was an especially great segment from a consistently great show. I’ll even forgive that he had Megyn Kelly on, because 1. it was probably forced on him by NBC and 2. the rest of the show is so morally sound. Jokes Seth Can’t Tell is a particular favorite.

Yup - surprised that Seth Meyers had her come on the show.

Holy shit, the wordplay of corporate and corporeal is next-level (though I suppose I should expect nothing from the best from O’Neal)

Doesn’t really look sharp (sharp sharp sharp sharp sharp)

Vince Staples on the soundtrack A+++

It’s not nearly as bad as some of the things on that list, but it is a bit yikesy coming from Sean O’Neal, who clearly knows better.

It *is* controversial now, though, considering our political climate. Or that may have been your point.

I haven’t seen “Hanna” in years but I remember really enjoying it - sure it was sometimes bizarre, and sometimes left me somewhat cold, but there were a lot of really gorgeous shots.

It’s always bizarre to see what the Glee people are up to now - it’s both recent and something of a distant memory.

How did *this* not get pending?

the way Jon says “CAOLLD BLOAADED” and other various babbling is *_*

This is the only game I will actively seek out Let’s Plays for.

Things were bad last night! I really do want to celebrate the show for its progressiveness and its strengths, which is why the more obnoxious fans disappoint me so much. (I am a Damn Female who Ruins Everything irl, for what it’s worth.)

Nothing to add except that this just pushed the episode up to an A- for me.

nailed the feeling I had about the season - it occasionally felt overstuffed, like they wanted to write for 43 minutes instead of 23. Still love it, but I would understand if there was an effort to push back a little next season.

That’s totally true - the DFRE crowd does get downvotes to oblivion, but that crowd is still there.

Sums it up perfectly - I actually feel like there’s gonna be a new dynamic in Season 4 as the family (this one anyway) has all but turned on Rick.
