Transgender Dysphoria Blues, Shape Shift With Me, then go backwards from there.
Though if you haven't heard Disco Before The Breakdown, then look it up and listen to it right now - it's nothing like their other music, but it's just a great combination of songs (and there are these gigantic horns on the title track that

May I ask why you hated She's Not There? I get why in some respects (the whole story revolving around 'the surgery' is one thing), but I'd love a clarification

Downvoted on multiple levels, but how dare you insult Homestar Runner, even just to get a reaction? That's basically the purest thing to come out of the entire Internet! It's like insulting the Muppets!

Hey it's another trans person!
I haven't read the Mock one, but I liked Jenny Boylan's "She's Not There", which I was reading as I figured out my own identity.
That one spoke to me in a way that not a lot of things did when researching and whatnot

I really need to catch up, did it somehow get even better than it already was?

Hopefully, but I also wouldn't be surprised if both them and the AV Club shut down in the next four to eight years.

I hadn't heard much from him outside of this video, but his music made it that much more absurd, and that much more joyful. R.I.P.

Downvoted - as happy as I am that the Cubs won, I wish more people talked about the (very, very good) album.

EL VY's song was great too, though definitely more absurdist.

Omg this looks glorious that's all I have to say

I was expecting to be the person that commented "Songs for Dustmites is actually rlly great though" or something.
Glad that it's considered a good album around these parts (and "Mighty Little Man" is a jam)

When Poppy and Branch finally reach the Bergen’s village, they are greeted with a hilarious, ironically miserable version of the Gorillaz’s “Clint Eastwood.”

The original plan was to have the show be two seasons anyway, so getting cancelled is highly unlikely.

Reference?

That fan-fiction is highly worth a read, though.

CW has been a victim of this too, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend alone.

The last three minutes or so of "Mother" is also worth a mention - what a brilliantly batshit song.

!!!
In Rainbows is pretty awesome too - I'm surprised no one has mentioned Jigsaw Falling Into Place or Weird Fishes.

Every National song has one or two of those moments for me, especially on Boxer (when the piano line comes in on Squalor Victoria, that drum fill toward the end of Brainy, the entirety of Ada)…

A recent one for me is Lucy Dacus' stunning "Dream State"; I love the way she builds "Without you I am surely the last of my kind…" as the drums get more intense and all this guitar feedback swirls around her.
