Mr. Meeseeks is up there. To paraphrase a friend that got me into Rick and Morty, the name exactly fits how the character looks.
The name Morty itself is pretty fantastic, too.

Along with the Muppets, this defined my early sense of humor.
The whole book too, but especially this page.
I REALLY hope Rick and Morty doesn't become that kind of show, though.
Upvoted for your avatar.
I guess they're suckers for pain.
…I'm probably the only one on this thread who's actually heard that song, or any others from this soundtrack.
Linkin Park is a better comparison if we're talking universally-hated bands, but 21 Pilots are much less self-serious. Which means they're still incredibly self serious.
I got dragged to a concert recently and they're better than people give them credit for, though not quite as edgy and genre bending as their fans…
As someone who is trans, I don't think I would have ever even signed up for a commenting section on the AV Club or other sites like Stereogum had I been born/raised a woman.
Major respect.
Bad Wolf grew on me so much since the first time I heard it.
To say nothing of Run, which inspired one of the best memes of last/this - second only to the horn riff from Run Away With Me.
Also WOW this album is great
I think it's partly due to Ashley Ray-Harris herself, who between this and the Beyonce FOC can probably outwrite half the O' Neal wannabes on this site in her sleep.
Love her!! No Burden is such a great album.
This series is really fun to read too.
Glad to see some love for Daughter here!
I honestly see Not To Disappear becoming a cult classic of sorts in the years to come.
The Frightened Rabbit album is another one that wasn't on here — it's not actually that great as a whole, but the peaks ("Woke Up Hurting", "400 Bones", "Die Like A Rich Boy") are as good as anything they've ever done.
That Lucy Dacus album is fantastic. Troublemaker Doppelganger is my personal favorite, though everything on that album is great.
WTF???
This one is:

Churches :/
"Jigsaw Falling Into Place". I didn't really get Radiohead until I heard that song.
Frabbit is the best band ever. I didn't love Painting of a Panic Attack as much (might be due to the track listing, might be due to the overly polished production from Aaron Dessner) but Midnight Organ Fight and Pedestrian Verse are masterpieces.
3 out of 4 newswires are RIPs.
Someone suggested before that 2016 is a slow-motion Rapture and I am starting to believe it.
