Whitmer Thomas even references Todd's review at one point here (the "animal's moles" part).
I wish more people were watching her, because she hasn't gotten the same exposure John Oliver has, or even Trevor Noah, even though she's on the same level as the former and is faaaarr better than the latter.
This is the best I've seen:

At this rate, I honestly don't see this site making it to the end of the decade, even the year, which is too bad.
true, but on the other hand if you're talking about cinematography last year and you can only pick one movie you have to pick Mad Max or else you're wrong
"3-D skeptic James Cameron"
I'm just hoping this was poorly deployed sarcasm.
and Judiasm has unfortunately fallen to some of those same traps as well, as some attempts I've heard to modernize Jew music just sound like Mumford and Sons (actually one service I went to sang a prayer to the tune of Awake My Soul, which, erm, that's a song with clear Christian overtones.)
Agreed- I wish more Hatesong interviews involved the hater doing research first.
Yay fellow trans people!!
They're not the most consistent band in the world (how do "Stop!" and "The Ocean" come from the same album, even from the same person??), but honestly Laura's so awesome regardless, and there are far worse people to bring trans issues into the mainstream.
*side eyes at Caitlyn Jenner* Far worse.
Against Me!'s history deserves a whole movie/miniseries/Netflix show:
I kind of miss the frantic aspect of their previous albums, but I like how everything said in this interview comes across when hearing the record itself. Sometimes you'll get a Coldplay or a U2 saying "this is our best album" when no, it totally isn't, so hearing Scott speak honestly is very refreshing.
Pedestrian Verse is one of my favorite albums of all time. They're a great band.
It's a grower— basically try to ignore the really intense polish and it's just as good as any of the other albums.
Yeah exactly- The two bookend tracks (Acts of Man and The Oil Slick) are some of my favorite songs ever written.
Decent review, which is surprising to see on the AV Club these days. Personally, I'd give it a B+ though. It definitely isn't Pedestrian Verse, but that's only because most albums are going to fall short when measured against Pedestrian Verse (as well as Midnight Organ Fight). I can totally forgive them for stripping…
I am so psyched for Frabbit's album. I was kind of worried at first but I'm hearing great things about the new songs.
it's tiiiiiime i had some tiiiime alooonnneeee
Including the Drunk Girls?
… eh, that wasn't funny. I think I'm losing my edge.
What a great comment.
I wish that there were more music engineer-y type people on here.
