Oooohhhhh thank you

Can someone explain the joke please? I keep thinking of the band and how people call them "dull" but I know that's definitely not it…

I would have gone with this line from Everything Everything:

OH MY GOD THIS HEADLINE

YES!
Poptimism is not about being elitist if you don't like a Justin Bieber song; it's merely about not dismissing pop just because it's pop.
(And for the record, "Where Are U Now" is a great song by any means)

wait what's wrong with representation

Boots produced FKA Twigs' incredible last EP, and one of the best engineers in the business (Rich Costey) mixed this one, so even if the album isn't good, it's at least going to sound beautiful.

Does anyone remember that scene in the Rugrats Movie where Dil is born because if you want to talk about nightmare inducing…

Stereogum's another good source. Definitely more positive than a lot of other sites.
As for Anthony Fantano, he can be very insightful, but aside from some very funny moments in his show, it's sometimes hard to like his persona.

THIS. BROW. AIN'T. FREEEEEE

Sometimes.

Alligator!

I thought the National were too, but then the awful EL VY review came out…

All Dolled Up In Straps. The whole thing.

This album is soooooooooo good
Makes me wonder what Matt was doing with "She's a griever/my believer/it's not a fever/it's a freezer" from the last album when he had songs like "No Time To Crank The Sun" and "I'm The Man To Be" in him.

I just adore the snare sound in the original, and that's all I have to add.

I adore this feature

That movie rocks too, but no one ever talks about it.

Neil Cicierega approves.

This gave me Sluggo flashbacks
