If only because of the "WOO!" two minutes in.

Does anyone remember the Paramount Feature Presentation logo on VHS where the words "Feature Presentation" would zoom in before cutting to the warning screen? Scared the daylights out of me when I was younger.

Or Laura Marling.
Or Ben Howard, whose I Forget Where We Where is completely underrated.

The World Is An Emaciated Coma And I Am No Longer Afraid To Pull The Plug

Laura Marling! Apparently she's going electric, so I'm excited for that

Hear Out Of The Woods or Blank Space and they will change your mind.

*cough* Birdman *cough*

Is there a specific episode where all these references come from, or are these just accumulated? (I want to start checking it out, is what I'm saying.)

Speaking of best albums of 2014, it's disappointing that no one is talking about the Twilight Sad at all, because that album is so good.

On an unrelated note, that Chris Rock profile mentioned in the article is really, really good.

I'm not sure if you've seen his french film CRAZY, but that is excellent as well.

* Pretty much everything in Birdman
* The last scene of Frank

And in case anyone thinks they're just making things up:

It's at 1002 now!

"…And trade negotiations" followed by the ending did me in.
I don't even know how this was done in 24 hours because there's so much great stuff going on in every shot.

"Outer… SPACE" indeed

Upvoted for the National!

I've finally been getting into Wilco, and "she fell in love with the drummer/she fell in love with the drummer" has not left my head for the past two weeks.

Regina Spektor- Samson
Mysteries- Knight Takes Rook
Lady Lamb the Beekeeper- Mezzanine
The Twilight Sad- Last January
(honestly the AV club should have covered that above album because it's so good)
Kimbra- Settle Down
