And they also have some weird lyrics too:
"It's a common fetish for a doting man to ballerina on the coffee table cock in hand"
"Hey love, we'll get away with it, we'll run like we're awesome, totally genius"
"I was afraid I'd eat your brains… because I'm evil"
"All the LA women fall asleep while swimming/I got paid to

Also Robin Thicke's the rapey one. Pitbull is mostly harmless.

Exactly! I said it was a good line, though the problem is I can't play it for anyone else because they're usually turned off as soon as they hear the word "porno."

I mean that song has one of my favorite lines of all time ("It's up to meee noww/turn on the briiiiight liiighhhtssss"), so I can forgive the subway line. Even though that's actually a good line too.

It's funny because the National already did a better version of that lyric years before that song: "You know I dreamed about you/for 29 years before I saw you."

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again, oh noooooo

You know, when you capitalize the first letter of every word it seems less like the Beastie Boys and more like Jaden Smith…

Anything with 50 Shades and O'Neal writing is inevitably gonna be great.

A BAT-CREDIT CARD?!!

In unrelated news, Owl John (Scott Hutchison from Frightened Rabbit's side project) is now streaming.
It was literally made in 10 days, with one song a day, so some of the songs feel unfinished. It's still very good though!

Speaking of YA adaptions, what happened to the Chaos Walking movie?

I finally read High Fidelity this year, which I think if I read it again will become one of my favorites.
So very, very brilliant.

The title track is so great.
I get why the internet hates Billy Joel, I understand the dislike for Genesis, but what is actually the point of hating Meat Loaf (and/or Jim Steinman)? Neither are assholes, neither take themselves too seriously, and both are crazy awesome.

Wonderwall though…

Off topic, but I don't know where else to put this because idk when the Tolerability Index is going to be posted:

Exactly! That's what I like about the movie; that the fact that it was made is the happy ending. Very meta but very clever.

Fix it as soon as possible. It takes the moody atmospherics of Tramp and multiplies it by 12. (also make sure you have tissues with you because goddamn the opening track is a tear-jerker)

No love for Owen Pallett?

YES. It's a really, really fun listen. And Amelia Meath's voice is both badass and adorable. Rabbity is definitely the word to describe it.
