I'll give Fox credit for regularly giving the genre shows I like a chance, even if many of them don't stick. Space: Above and Beyond and being Brimstone my most wistful memories.

Jaime sent him back on the same ship to protect him from Cersei—this is apparently all in the note that Bashir read, which is something on the "making of" show or site or something.

I discovered this elsewhere—apparently it's in the making of show—the note that Bashir gets is from Jaime saying Myrcella is dead from poison and that Cersei is going to want to kill the prince, so he's sending him back. Since the Sand Snakes are there when the message is delivered, they get to meet the ship or

Wait, actual question on my part—why was he on a boat in the first place?

No way, I've seem them fight. They're kind of terrible. But I liked the scene.

Everything about the Sand Snakes that should be interesting or at least awesome is executed in the most crap fashion possible. What's funny was that I thought this is the best they've ever been on the show.

For what it's worth (anecdote from a rando on the internet), I know someone who worked on The Last Ship musical that he wrote, and he was apparently pleasant and professional.

The AVC write up: "possibly thanks to Strom Thurmond (according to Last Week’s research) or some other unconscionable jerk who would just tack that sort of thing an unrelated bill."

Thank you—I appreciate the info…I wish it was there in the post. I also appreciate not immediately assuming I'm a racist humorless jerk.

"Possibly thanks to Strom Thurmond"…maybe research it or cut that line?

Oh, Loghain, I still hate him and his early betrayal is unrecoverable (I played the human noble)—but mostly it's such a bad plan.

I was charmed by Evans's Johnny Storm and really charmed by Chiklis—which in my viewing made the other two super weak. If the guy under a ton of prosthetics is doing a good job, why weren't they? But yeah, the movies are probably better than they are given credit for, especially if we're giving credit for what

Hatesong isn't really my bag, though occasionally the interviewee has a more thorough analysis of lyrics or songcraft that I find interesting. This one seemed more like weird policing of unknown motives, starting from the point that music should only be done from "authentic" spaces, as if woof, if they're making money

Oh sure—I'm not sure when I aged into AR looks like pleasant times from isn't this the slowest thing in the world? so I've shifted in my own tastes.

Mostly I just burned out the rhythms of Pawn Stars and the like since I binged last time it was available for streaming so i don't catch them at all now, but I've enjoyed the History channel shows too. In binging them the bumps came out more, and the reliance on the same pool of experts got samey. There's definite

I assume those shows are good noise for everyone, and probably on in every doctor's waiting room in the nation that isn't tuned to CNN. I was waiting for those shows to be mentioned in the interview actually, and now I miss it because Bemko was very straightforwardly candid, and I assume they must be affecting

Life of Pi does it really beautifully as well. Man, I hate that story, but it is a beautiful movie.

The tight spaces and corridors was a cheap, but more effective use of 3D than most for me. Hell, it was just a cheaper movie all around, but played in its constraints. Avengers and Winter Soldier, they tend to be an afterthought and the only volume is high.

I hate that movie (the story anyway), but it is stunning and immersive. For me it was just the floating in the water. Everybody else's CGI water ever is about looking naturalistic, and Ang Lee decided to make it still instead. It was beautiful.

I thought Pina in 3-D was straight up a waste. Other than the intro piece and the one where the stage was covered in water, none of the set ups had any depth—the multiple planes ran end to end in very distinct ranges and instead of immersion looked like dioramas to me throughout. You've got a 3D camera and you decide
