Exactly. I could have written this comment on any number of AV Club reviews, this just happened to be the one where I was able to sit down and speak my mind.

I’d read (but can’t remember where) about an experiment run in the early 10s or late 00s where about a thousand applications where sent out under two names, one was something like John Smith and the other was something like Jose Sanchez.

Yeah, if I walked into a bar or frat party or something.  In a professional setting, especially a profession where “penetration testing” is actually a term of art (of sorts), I would expect most people to practice some forbearance with regard to pointing out the double entendre.

It’s not an age rating thing, it’s a “providing literally dozens of costume changes for EVERY playable character would be an enormous addition to their work flow and necessary budget for the game” thing.

The point here is that “shit rolls down hill”. If it was simply “a few individuals” they probably would have gotten shitcanned.

I may be completely missing your irony and stepping on a joke, and if I am I apologize in advance.

She definitely had more PRE than Kurt. What Kurt apparently wanted to be was successful like Sonic Youth. Have your records go Gold eventually, be respected as musicians, be able to support yourself without living paycheck to paycheck. What he did not want to be was a rock star (See any number of other Seattle bands

It’s not super unusual, if you’re at blackhat that means you already have skills (the cost makes it only worthwhile if you’re experienced). Even if she has been held back at some places, she’s in demand.

It’s like Guede is getting away with murder a second time.

I wouldn’t buy it but it’s interesting. I just paid a visit to the Minneapolis Institute of Art for the first time in about four or five years. They have a pretty notable collection of modern art and this would not have looked out of place there. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Some people in the comments seem to think this is the fault of an individual employee and not the fault of the company.

Thank you. A singer launched by a well-coordinated media blitz before she can drive *a moped* is in a wildly different category than a band as reflexively antagonistic as Nirvana.

And Kurt absolutely wanted to be a professional musician (and was far more aggressive pursuing that than I thought), but he did *not*

Also seems a bit weird to compare a depressive burnout who stumbled into superstardom with a hyper-connected child of immense privilege. Kurt was never interested in being relatable, Billie never *was* relatable in the first place.

Unless I misunderstood the article, the film doesn’t mention her name and the filmmakers just said the story is directly inspired by Amanda Knox. There’s nothing illegal about that, or uncommon. I mean, Law and Order built a franchise on it. It would be different if they had made a movie that was about Amanda Knox,

I’m sorry but anyone can tell a story that’s inspired by a true story. No one owns it. She doesn’t have to like it but the filmmakers didn’t have to consult with her either. Plus, she already wrote her book and made her money so anyone who wants to know what the real Amanda thinks, can just buy her book.

Hopefully that first jab will help to keep the symptoms to a minimum.  Stay well!

I think she actually has a hard legal case if there is a force majeure clause, which most contracts do and as a former big corporate attorney I would be shocked if there isn’t one. A force majeure clause allows a party to opt out of portions of contract based on unavoidable and uncontrollable circumstances. So to win,

It doesn’t make me dumb, it makes you an obnoxious pedant who has dedicated too much of his life to simping for this shitty review of what looks to be a nice looking, fun-enough ARPG that is otherwise unremarkable.

Man I really wanted to like the game, but after a bit over an 1,5 hours I gave up and got the refund.
The look is really great, I love the aesthetics, I love the whole neon colors.
Still...you get pretty much thrown into the story and I felt disconnected. Some things happen after the tutorial mission at the start, but I

I don’t know how to explain to you any clearer that we don’t actually think poorly of this game that you so clearly love. We think poorly of this review because it sucks.
