I feel like it’s always been an uneven show, with lots of fans but not exceptionally praiseworthy—as in, if it’s not your genre or fandom, where people drawn into it? Netflix is too opaque to read too much into numbers, but back in the before times a 30% drop for a movie’s first box office weekend say was not good,

“Classic” is right. “Retro” is a reference to the past--these aren’t retro games.

Fists! Very straightforward, a little too easy comparitively, just FYI.

Nah, this year is imminent. A year off is a year off.

I haven’t played Animal Crossing in years, but beyond the fact it’s not “America”—does Tom Nook do anything if you don’t pay?

She wants the star, and as Carmy said, there’s no room for anything else other than work if you want a star.

Barbie’s home looks like something out of the 1999 Toys’R’Us.

Dude hangs out with Nicolas Winding Refn, turns out it can get grosser. Honestly, Kojima seems by comparison tame.

Death Stranding is actually the first game of his I’ve played extensively, and I have to say earnestness is part of it, but the also the vision that worked out that gameplay and design is pretty remarkable. Otherwise, your opinion was my opinion more or less based on the constant breathless praise he receives, and

It’s an attitude that ignores that people come from different places and evolve with language evolving as well. But—I didn’t remember the movie because it’s been so

If that’s your takeaway, the entire point of her sharing the story

I don’t know if that header image is a good Taylor Swift, but it’s a pretty good Jessica Chastain.

My mom died while I was playing Nino No Kuni.

It’s always been a mess--a fun mess--but one whose details never really held up given when scrutinized.

Mind me asking the whole point of what? Role-playing or morality? At least for the latter, taking certain behaviors despite circumstance is a valid expression of morality. And I don’t know that if you’re going to have a scale system you should get points for being morally gray—though if you want to use such a metric

I was wondering if Wind Waker was going to be listed...I agree that it’s beautiful and a great example of purposeful art direction. I remember it being often disliked being to “childish” and the like.
