There was a hill on my commute that I used to always catch air on in my Fiesta ST. The first time was a very surprised accident, the hill was right after a turn and in my old 335I I couldn’t hold enough speed through the turn for it to ever be a problem for that two ton behemoth. After getting the fiesta I barrelled

My disabilities (absolutely borked spine) should probably limit my 6' ass to tall vehicles, but I will spend 5 min groaning to squeeze myself in and out of my MR2 until I physically can’t dammit!

Nope, I will stick with my fleet of ancient Toyota’s. Never buying a new car again after my paper mache Fiesta ST.

The image recognition required to identify potholes and speedbumps would certainly be considered AI. Not a General AI, and not all that impressive all things considered, but still.

CP but only because I bought an RV for 500 dollars. Had to rebuild the 440 in a field but whatever.

If we are moving back to body-on-frame style construction, can we get a return to custom coachbuilders making some bodies?

You shouldn’t buy a car at all, get a Honda Ruckus. Are you ever really going anywhere so far away that you NEED a car? Absolutely not! You are on an Island! Give up the cage life and get ready to Ruck on your first date.

Neutral: absolutely not, 7500 does not make the difference in convincing me to spend 35k on a car worth 15 optimistically (bolt) or 100k on a car worth maybe 40

That is a lot of time to waste when I am trying to cannonball across the country as quickly as possible

Agreed, the only times I drive a car at all are long distance hauls that I am trying to do in as little time as possible. I recently did a DC-Denver trip in 22 hours even, only briefly stopping for gas 4 times. Can’t do that in an electric car.

It is a force of will for me to not buy that van. I want to so bad but I already have 4 other 80's toyotas and my cressida wagon fills the same niche this van would.

I have done a lot better for 500. Still though, nice price if you get it with the intention of swapping a motor from a more reputable make.

I am significantly more interested in that freaking sweet Toyota Van.

If we are going to be putting all of our controls on a stupid tablet, better to put it somewhere accessible than halfway across the damn dash.

Probably on fire because of faulty electrical work. Or returned to the earth via rust

Had the stupid clamshell plastic resevoir split on my E9x 335i. Looking at this is giving me nightmares.

I have no self preservation instinct so I would be 1000% down for this. Maybe the chinese will be crazy enough to care so little about safety they bring back Group B style rally cars.

Neutral: Not even a little bit. The safety ratings are ridiculously arbitrary. As long as you are in a protected box and you are securely attached to a seat that is itself securely attached, you are pretty much as safe as you are going to get.

Also, crumple zones have gotten ridiculously fragile. My poor Fiesta ST got

My old 335i was pushing 600hp with just a flash and a new intercooler, and you can get more out of them with some other minor bolt ons. Hopefully the new engine in the Supra is more reliable than that pile was though

My high score was 180 in a tuned 335i. Was shooting for 200 but seriously did not have the aero for it and was starting to take off like an airplane.

I feel the same. If you are going to build a steam car, try to make it not suck just a little bit.
