They could have at least used a closed high pressure system. We had more advanced steam engines 200 years ago

I used to have a first gen 2 door badged as a Dodge Raider. Ridiculous little car, instead of an “oh shit” handle the passenger gets a rollercoaster bar. There is a dash light for if the car is currently upside down. And I never did find out how people were intended to get in to the back seat.
Simple, I can take a modern engine, drop it in my 80's MR2, and have something with supercar power/weight for a fraction of what a competitive new car would cost me.
No pictures while I am at work but I recently picked up a running and driving 92 Lexus LS400 for 500. Completely trashed interior, no clue how many miles because the dash is broken, and no power steering. Other than that it runs perfectly and is a great engine donor for my Cressida wagon.
I keep seeing the word “genius” getting thrown around and would just like to remind everybody that Elon Musk is a charlatan. He is not an engineer. He is not a scientist. He is an idiot with a lot of money and charisma. Nothing more.
If reliability is a big factor for you than BMW may as well be disqualified across the board. The last few generations are only good as leased cars
I really like the proportions on the S60 much more than I thought I would. And It has one of my favorite faces of any new car today.
I really hope more crossovers follow this “Lifted Wagon” style instead of the “small SUV” style they started as.
Having driven both, and this seriously pains me to say, get the ‘stang. The interior is not as nice but everything else just feels like such a better value. If we were talking 235i vs mustang, 235 all the way.
Not really interested in an absolutely torqueless high revving 3 cylinder. A moderately torqueless high revving 500hp straight six though...
I have seen a bull moose flip a car in a parking lot because it was a minor inconvenience to him. I would be a bit more hesistant. I would have at least not stuck my fucking hand outside the car.
I can hardly tell the headlights in my truck are on if the moon is particularly bright. I get maybe 20 feet and they said 200+ is inadequate? Why the hell do your lights need to be that bright?
Doesn’t fix the fact that this is a POS that would have felt like a POS even if it came out 20 years ago. GM has not even reached 90's Toyota levels of quality yet. If they would actually try to design a good car, instead of just the most profitable car, they would do a whole lot better.
To everyone saying small bikes are impractical, I rode a 50cc Ruckus on a 1000 mile round trip in 36 hours. Whole thing cost me like 20 dollars in gas. Perfectly practical
I dig it, but all three of my Ruckuses might get jealous.
.....I’ll be in my bunk...
No way in hell would I pay 60k plus for this. BMW reliability with a Toyota badge. Genius.
The special W16 in the Veyron seems especially pointless next to the story of the dude that boosted a straight 6 out of a toyota truck to 2000HP
Crappy camper aside, this is pretty borderline CP, I would want significantly less mileage on it at this price.
My dad was able to get me into cars. First he got my into driving competitively, then because we were poor, if I wanted to win I would have to work on and modify all my own shit. I always tell people that I actually hate working on cars, I just like driving and I am cheap.
