    @iamthejae: that's cool. i've had once since 2006 that has been stuffed into the VCR hole of your typical home entertainment center and cleaned maybe 3-4 times. no surge protector or anything special.

    @Quasigizmodo: no. this just makes it easier to get the APK files onto the device.

    @blyan: it would not require a complete redesign. just mold a plastic ring into the outside of the device. like a built in 'bumper' and that would fix a ton of the problems.
