a sidebar but am lost as to why more OEMs don’t offer sprung seats  as an option. Have had 4 HD police bikes and much more comfortable for long rides (current police seat is not sprung the old fashioned method). Am I just crazy?

really lows volume runs means you have to clean and change paint lines. No it does not cost as much but it slows paint booth ops and you loose paint flushed in the line. Also odd colors stick in dealer inventory a bit longer if they are not bespoke orders

Zoom zoom and Mazdaspeed were good ideas but your brand needs to be positioned by your products and those Mazda products left that position a long time ago. Trying to be a really small Toyota with just extra salsa will not kill them but there is but a tiny tiny niche of folks looking for that type of product.
