Back in the day, these “hideous” cars were also retrofitted with easily purchased aftermarket parts to be classified as “Porsche-wackers” (magazine article title not mine). They kick ass. Hideous? And you like Porsches . . . Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black!?!?!

The Olds Starfire was an awesome car to have as a teenager in the 70s. Stylish off of the showroom floor, but with the right tweaks and mods, quite sporty . . . Fast enough to get a guy in trouble. Throw in a kickass tape deck with a graphic equalizer and Jensen Tri-Ax’s in speaker cabints and it was a party mobile.…
